The Book Marketing Book (and event!) That Will Help You the Most

I want you to be successful. If you are an author and you took the time to write an entire book, I want people to buy that book and read it and love it and buy more of your books (if you write more books). As authors, we all want our books to just catch on the minute they are published, and we don’t really want to have to market them. We want that magic “Stephenie Meyer” moment when we finish the book and it becomes a bestseller with almost no work on our parts. It is kind of heartbreaking to put a book out and then realize you are going to have to do the heavy lifting of marketing it yourself. I get that. Believe me. I have been there, and so have all of the other BookPromotion.com contributors. That’s why we are trying to make it slightly more palatable to get yourself out there, even though you might feel like you don’t want to, you shouldn’t have to, that you’re an introvert and just can’t. We have been there.

My mission with BookPromotion.com is to give you enough information and knowledge to get you started with your marketing. To that end, I am going to recommend that you stop what you are doing and get our own Rachel Thompson’s “30 Day Book Marketing Challenge.” Rachel does a great job in this book of giving you the marketing knowledge you need, but in bite-size pieces so it doesn’t trigger that “I am overwhelmed and don’t know where to start” feeling in your mind. I have been through the book twice myself and have followed all of the steps in it (just to road-test it before I recommended it to you). I have to say, I like this approach better than a similar book I wrote myself, and I think it’s structured in a way that will make you successful in your marketing efforts.
